The Ultimate Wedding Checklist

Just Engaged? Start Here.

Firstly, congratulations!
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve just got engaged or you're beginning to plan your wedding, either way, welcome. It’s an exciting time, however; it can get overwhelming. The pressure, the opinions, the endless wedding checklists… I’ve been there too.

If you’re anything like I was, you’ve probably never planned an event of this size, let alone something as personal and emotionally charged as a wedding. So before we dive into timelines and to-dos, here are a few things I’ve learnt, not only from planning my own wedding but from years of helping couples bring theirs to life through photography and film.

What Matters Most to You?

Before you book a single thing, take a moment to step back and ask:
How do you want to feel on your wedding day?
What do you want the day to actually look and feel like?

Maybe you’re all about the fashion and want a strong visual statement.
Or perhaps food is your thing and the menu has to be spot on.
You might be dreaming of a small, intimate wedding with just family and close friends, or maybe it’s a big celebration with a packed dance floor that goes all night.

Your Top 3 Wedding Priorities

Here’s a tip that can help cut through the noise:
Sit down with your partner and choose your top three priorities each. These are the things that matter most to you. It could be anything from photography and food to the location, atmosphere or music.

See where you overlap, and start your planning from there. Focus your time and budget on what really counts. That doesn’t mean ignoring the rest, it just means making quicker decisions on the things that aren’t as important, so you can make space for the parts you genuinely enjoy and spend more time on what you actually love.

Use it to stay on track, tick off what applies to your day, and skip anything that doesn’t. No pressure to follow every step. This is about making your day work for you.
